8/26/16: Ontonagon, MI-Porcupine Mountain Music Festival: We haven’t been to the UP in over a year and it was great making our way back. The Porcupine Mountain Music festival takes place at the foot of a gorgeous ski hill and we were happy to be playing with some great bands including Lindsay Lou & The Flatbellies and The Stray Birds (Both bands are on The Americana agency with us so it was good to all be in the same place!) We had a great time playing today and are looking forward to tomorrow’s evening set. After the festival we went to our hotel, The Blackbear Lodge, which had an awesome bowling alley as well as a back yard that looked out onto the forest. During the day we could see bears coming out of the woods to eat. It was the first time I had ever seen a bear in the wild.
