2/23/17: Johnson City, TN- On our way out of Asheville we stopped at a spot along the appalachian trail at the Cherokee National Forest. Austin and Collin went off into the woods to write some new music while Travis John and I explored along the water. We made our way to Johnson City after the hike and were so happy to be back at The Down Home. It was great to see familiar faces as well as new ones and to catch up with old friends. A friend of ours was generous enough to let us stay at their Air BnB in town which was a bank converted into an apartment. I’ve never slept in a vault before! Before getting some sleep we played fiddle tunes and walked over to a hip local vegan diner that was surprisingly packed at 2am on a weeknight! Our Johnson City experience was a lot of fun and we cant wait to make our way back here soon!
