2/4/16: Pittsburg, PA- Pittsburg’s Folk Music Society (Calliope Presents): A lot of the shows on this tour were first plays of a city, including tonight’s Pittsburg concert! The presenter, Calliope, puts on some awesome shows, from the Steel Wheels to Emmylou Harris, at a range of venues. We were so excited to have a very well attended show, which is always so crazy in a brand new town for us. We had a great time playing, and were excited to meet a couple from town, Mike and Kim. Three months ago they drove all the way to Leesburg, VA which, as it turns out, was the only gig we had ever had to cancel. It meant so much to us that they came out to this show. After the concert we were thankful to get to stay with one of the organizers of the event, Tricia and her husband Jay. They told us that we were the third band to ever stay at her house, one of the other two being The Avett Brothers! We could definitely feel the good vibes there and appreciated their generosity!
